December 23 - this is when it all started....

HWY-542 towards Mt Baker Ski area

We set out a bit late but nevertheless did... It took me a while to pull out and adjust ski gear - a price for not skiing regularly. I hope this will change.

Roads were surprisingly clear of traffic. Patchy fog chased us all way up to Maple Falls and finally dropped unable to keep up.


Sun and blue sky... We havn't seen them in a hmmmm.... 3 weeks? It's good to know that they still exist framed by rain forest and snowy picks of PNW.
